MoneyControl.com has a great article, interview and video with Chris Dodd, Chairman, US Senate Banking Committee.
Here, Chris Dodd explains the regulatory overhauls the United States will undergo in the coming months and years:

"Chris Dodd, Chairman, US Senate Banking Committee says, “We are doing things that need to be done. We need to stop the big derailed implicit guarantee. We need to deal with consumer protection. We need to deal with having systemic risk radar that you can start to identify problems early on."

“We need to get this right and so when the next crisis happens—and it will—we would have the tools necessary to make sure you don’t have the economic wreckage along the landscape that we are seeing today.” Dodd adds."
