Here is your COSO 2013 Compliance Tip for April (T-minus 8 months until you must be change all of your controls to prove you are compliant)...

Previously, in the COSO 1992 days, all of your controls needed to answer the who, what, when, why, and how questions to be considered a well-written control. COSO 2013 has changed this and now required each control to be

  1. Specific
  2. Measurable or Observable
  3. Attainable
  4. Relevant
  5. Time-Bound
